    Ha, I saw it. And yes, agreed on "things will always overinterpreted." And, if I may add my statistician two-cents, over-tested and under-corrected.

    I understand psychologists have to come up with some ways to test their hypothesis. But human behavior is a very complex system and there isn't a systematic way to quantify it. So you take the data and look at it in a million possible ways until you find something. And if you don't correct for multiple testing you will find something. You find a p-value of 0.05 5% of the times, that's the definition.

    I'm not criticizing the work of fellow scientists. And these studies do make great punchlines. But people should be mindful of the caveats. They point to trends. They certainly don't "box" human behavior.
